Your safari begins today — and we’re just as excited as you are! After a warm welcome at the airport, your journey takes you deep into one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations: the Masai Mara National Reserve.

Afternoon Safari & Cheetah Tracking Adventure

Your first game drive in the Masai Mara! Wildlife is abundant and diverse — this afternoon alone you might spot:

  • Elephants, Buffaloes, Zebras & Giraffes

  • Wildebeests & Rhinos

  • Lion & Leopard Tracking

  • Bird watching across the plains

Cheetah Tracking (On Foot):
Join your guide on foot to search for the world’s fastest land animal. Using radio signals to locate cheetahs, you may walk across uneven terrain — the reward? A once-in-a-lifetime up-close encounter with these stunning predators.

Evening Wind Down at the Lodge

1800Hrs – 2200Hrs

  • Return to Mara Serena for a relaxed evening

  • Enjoy a bonfire under the stars

Sunrise Safari & Balloon Ride

Start early — this is the golden hour of the savannah. You’ll have two options this morning:

Early Morning Game Drive

  • Explore the Mara in the soft light of dawn

  • Track lions, leopards, and spot elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, and more

  • Enjoy sunrise photography and crisp morning air

  • Wrap up with a classic bush breakfast in a safe, scenic spot

OR

Hot Air Balloon Safari (Optional Upgrade)

  • Soar above the savannah as the sun rises

  • Capture unforgettable aerial shots of wildlife and landscapes

  • Land in the bush for a champagne breakfast in the wild

Mid-Morning Wildlife Viewing

Continue with mid-morning game drives through different areas of the reserve, increasing your chances of rare sightings — from black rhinos to shy hyenas.

  • Road transfer from Wilson Airport to your drop-off point
